DOC KYIV FEST 2024

Doc Kyiv Fest is an annual international film festival for mid-length audience documentary cinema, initiated by the Public Organization "Kinofest" with the support of the Odesa International Film Festival and Starlight Media. The festival's mission is to develop and popularize mid-length audience documentary cinema in Ukraine and integrate it into the global scene.

Concept

Doc Kyiv Fest is the only festival in Ukraine dedicated to mid-length audience documentary cinema, offering high artistic quality films that address global themes. The festival's main goal is to foster the development of documentary cinema and support talented Ukrainian directors working in this genre. The festival aims to present the best mid-length documentary films from Ukraine and other countries to audiences and provide a platform for filmmakers to exchange experiences and ideas.

Program

The festival consists of the following competitive and non-competitive programs:

- National Competition Program of Mid-Length Documentary Films - exclusive premieres of audience documentaries produced in Ukraine or co-production with Ukraine.

- Special Screenings of Ukrainian and Foreign Mid-Length Documentary Films - screenings of films already acclaimed by audiences at leading international film festivals and platforms.

- Industry Events - offering filmmakers the opportunity to present their projects at any stage of development to leading cinema professionals from Ukraine and the world, find partners, attend workshops, and engage in discussions on relevant cinema topics.
