Director: Gilad Baram

Gilad Baram is a photographer and filmmaker, born Israel and currently based in Berlin, Germany. His work, examining the use of still and moving images in contexts of repression, segregation and militarism, spans a variety of mediums – photography, film, video, installation and web art. Baram’s work was exhibited in various art institutions and screened in numerous festivals worldwide. The award-winning documentary, Koudelka Shooting Holy Land, is Baramʼs directorial debut. His second film, The Disappeared, premiered at Berlinale – Berlin International Film Festival and was nominated for awards at prominent festivals such as CPH:DOX, Copenhagen; BAFICI, Buenos Aires and Docaviv, Tel-Aviv, First Look Festival at the Museum of the Moving Image, NY, Videonale.17 in Bonn, FoR Festival at ICA, London, as well as for the Israeli Documentary Film Awards.
