In 2017, Bettina Rheims, fascinated with the Femen’s courage and audacity, decided to do a series on them. This film was made during the photo sessions, with interviews of all the protagonists.

Sophie started as a photographer in the early 80’s and quickly specialized in the birth of the hip-hop movement in the Bronx. When Hip-hop became massive, she was asked to move into television, and for several years she produced music shows, including MTV Europe’s Yo ! Which the created and that later became massive in the U.S. She then moved on to women and their emancipation through sexuality and produced several films with famous French artists and directed some. Naked war is the last film she directed, having since moved back to photography.
